About Me

Kyle Inselman My name is Kyle Inselman, and I currently live and work along the beautiful foothills of the Colorado Front Range. I enjoy hiking, photography, practicing meditation and yoga, and traveling around the Western U.S.

I’m passionate about career development and meaningful work, and I’ve helped hundreds of students and job seekers explore career options and navigate their job searches. After working in higher ed. career services for eleven years, I now practice independently through my coaching business Pride in Your Path, LLC.

In fall of 2025, I began a PhD in industrial-organizational psychology at Colorado State University, focusing on how we make meaning of the role of work in our lives. As a career coach, I have supported many clients as they make tough decisions related to their work, often in the face of barriers that require compromises related to one’s values, authenticity, or wellbeing. Through this work, I’ve specialized in helping LGBTQ+ clients gain confidence and agency when making decisions about coming out at work. Over the next few years as I immerse myself into full-time doctoral studies, I plan to conduct research related to these kinds of tough decisions and compromises, as well as research related to career calling, meaningful work, and Buddhist right livelihood.

I hold a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah, where I completed an independent master’s thesis study looking at in-group diversity among trans students in higher education. I also hold a second master’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Denver, where I focused on the interplay of religion, ethics, and work. My completion project explored the Buddhist tenet of right livelihood, part of the noble eightfold path.

Kyle hiking at the Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat Center I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to do work where they can experience purpose, mattering, and peace. I believe our ability to thrive as a society is connected to each individual’s capacity to flourish, and that everyone has a right to experience that flourishing through healthy work in a welcoming, supportive environment. When we can recognize the role our work serves in our interconnected world, and when we can experience positive and prosocial impacts of our work on others, I believe that each of us can feel empowered to transform the world for the betterment of all. We are a long way from a utopian future, and we live in dire times where it seems like opportunities to engage in this type of purposeful work are drying up. And yet, I am optimistic, as I hold a deep conviction in the transformative power of meaningful work. I know that empowering individuals to know themselves and pursue work that is meaningful to them will bring about a brighter future.

Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.
